Belle île
With a good current behind us, we made our way towards the sea after passing under the lifting bridge in the centre of Bordeaux. It was about 70 miles, so there was plenty of time for the pilot to enjoy being on board. He kept repeating how beautiful he thought the ship was, which was nice to hear.
Once at sea, we enjoyed a good stretch of sailing until the wind abandoned us.
We then motored north for a day, and today we enjoyed a full day of beautiful sailing until we arrived on the eastern side of Belle Île just now. We are about to discover whether it really is as beautiful as its name suggests.
Best regards,
Jan
