Caribbean Atmosphere

Over the past 6 weeks, we have visited many Caribbean islands. It has been a great balance between plenty of sailing and exploring the islands. Almost every evening we anchored and enjoyed the wonderful Caribbean atmosphere.

Now it is time to continue our journey and start covering some serious miles. After departing from St. Martin, we made one final stop in Anguilla before beginning the 500-mile passage to the Turks and Caicos Islands. The forecast looks promising: a Force 5 easterly wind. With these conditions, we expect the passage to take 4 days and 4 nights.

With the reefed foresail set, we are making excellent progress in the right direction. In fact, things are going so well that we arrive more than 18 hours ahead of schedule. This gives us the opportunity to make an extra stop in the Turks and Caicos Islands. We visit Grand Turk, South Caicos and Providenciales.

After spending 5 days in the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is time for the next 400 miles to the final destination of this voyage: Nassau.
