Cape Verde fishing catch

The waters around the Cape Verde Islands are teeming with fish, offering a wide variety of species such as Mahi Mahi, different types of tuna, Barracuda, Bonito, and many more. That’s why fishing from the boat is a daily activity on our Cape Verde trips. Expectations are always high, and each day we hope to catch something truly remarkable. Sometimes we’re lucky, sometimes not, but every now and then, we reel in a real prize. On this trip, for example, we caught a stunning Mahi Mahi, and just this morning, a small tuna. Our ship’s chef, Fennardie, prepares the catch the very same day, ensuring the freshest fish possible.

It’s not always just fish that end up on the hook—sometimes we pull up large clumps of seaweed, and on rare occasions, even our own flag!
