Magnificent Frigatebird

As we get closer to land, we see more and more birds around the ship. This morning, the deck was white with their enthusiasm (-; They are beautiful creatures, and you always have to marvel at how effortlessly they seem to fly. The small, graceful Brown Noddies, and the powerful Brown Booby. But there’s only one that truly rules the sky here. Faster, stronger, larger (and also meaner) than all the others combined: the “Magnificent Frigatebird.” Just the name alone is enough to make a Booby or Noddy feel inferior.
