Still no wind

21 May 2019

A day without wind is not unusual, but when it are days without, we start to get a bit sick of it. The most wind we had was under 10 knots!

So, during the nights we start the engine to make miles and during the day we set the sails to sail what we can. When the current is with us, we make progress, but if the tide turns, we worry that we are going backwards.

Because we are swallowed by a small high-pressure area, we expect to not have any wind tomorrow either. Therefore, we plan a stop at Ouessant. We will drop the anchor to stretch our legs. A good way to test our anchor winch. Hopefully it works otherwise it will be a challenge to hoist the anchor.
