Update from first mate Jan:
“After a maintenance period of 8 weeks in Rotterdam and Stellendam, we sail on a perfectly mint ship on the English Channel. The start of the voyage was not so nice, since the Erasmus Bridge was closed and would not open until 8 o’clock in the evening. But since then, everything works out fine. We have a lot of eastern winds, between 10 and 25 knots. It is kind of a dream to sail in these circumstances to the southwest in November. For me, it is the first time that this trip towards Ushant goes this smoothly! Alright, it is a bit cold at night, but it does not rain, so we cannot complain. The weather forecast predicts a bit of nasty weather from the Atlantic Ocean after the 27th of November. We will seek shelter and wait for a good moment to cross the Gulf of Biscay. We will keep you updated, for now everything goes well!”
