What a lovely day!

What a lovely day!

What a lovely day!

26 August 2018

In the evening we left from Scarp to St Kilda. There was a strong wind that was supposed to decrease, our window was opening slowly. And of course, the showers came one by one too. With the full moon we suddenly saw a rainbow without colours, really cool! Yesterday morning after breakfast we arrived at Boreray and Stack Lee. We watched the Gannet colony for a while. Not too long as it was not very comfortable with no wind and still three-metre-high waves. So, we sailed to Horta to drop our anchor in the bay. The sun was shining, and we could see large holes in the clouds. With lunch packages we went on shore to explore the biggest island of the St Kilda archipelago. In the afternoon everyone came back on board and we could set the sails for the voyage back. We were able to sail until night fall and then the wind died out. And the rain returned too; luckily we had an amazing day without rain!
Today we have a rainy day; we sailed to Dunvegan to visit the castle. After that we will put on our rain gear to visit a colony of seals up close.
