Not much luck with the weather

10 June 2018

In l’Aber Wrac’h most of us contacted home and we heard the weather in The Netherlands was great. Unfortunately, we are surrounded by mist, the wind blows in the wrong direction and at night it is cold. But, this does not get in our way to have a great time!
After our stop in Bretagne we turned on our engine to sail northeast. When the current was favourable above Cherbourg, we tacked. On the AIS track is seems like we are sailing a yacht. In the evening, the wind decreased and we had to turn on the engine again.
Now, we just passed between Dover and Calais and we are back ‘home’ on the North Sea. Because the wind blows in the wrong direction, we will continue to use the engine and sail passed Scheveningen. Monday morning, we will sail a course more north, so we can sail into the harbour of Scheveningen under full sails.
And for those who are curious about the sausages of Erwin: they were delicious!
