Whales

18 July 2017

With the first rays of light, early in the morning we arrived on the spot where we expected the whales. And they were there! We saw many beluga’s (almost common to see them lately), minky whales and probably even a humpback!
It turned out to be a great sailing day, with more wind than expected. All day long we have sailed actively. Actively, because we had to jibe often and therefore the gaff needed to go down and up at the other side again. A tribute to our guests, because now they can do this all by themselves!
In the evening the wind fell, but we have the high tide in our back and we sail with a nice speed towards Quebec. We will drop anchor right before the city, and start the festival fresh and fruity!
