The tour on Montserrat was interesting. It was very impressive to see how the lava streams destroyed everything in their way. But it was also interesting to learn that the pyroclastic clouds are even more dangerous. Imagine a dust cloud of 2000 degrees Celsius rolling down the volcano with a speed of over 100 km/hour!
When most were asleep we hoisted the anchor and we sailed to Antigua. This morning we visited English Harbour to see if we could find a nice spot to anchor, no luck there but it was nice to see it. We sailed further to Falmouth Harbour to see what was possible. After some negotiations, we could go alongside the marina. We are now surrounded by classic yachts and super yachts!
When Jan-Willem is back from custom clearance we go ashore to see what the island has to offer. Tomorrow after breakfast, we will depart for the last leg to Sint Maarten.
