Back on board

“After a nice long period at home it was time for me to go back on board again last Monday. Around 10AM the first guests were welcomed on board for the trip to Brest. As soon as everyone was shown to their cabin and got the first safety instructions it was time to depart.
On the Waterway there was enough time to explain about the different sails and ropes. We set the main sail. Once at sea the wind was to weak, so we switched on the engine to give us a push. Luckily the wind returned, although from the wrong direction but we don’t mind, let’s tack! We spend the afternoon, evening and night sailing clause hauled and tacking. The wind increased so we took some sails away. This afternoon the wind died out completely, the forecast said there should have been a north-western wind force 4-5, but it was only southwest 1 bft. But the wind returned and we can sail again. It looks like there will be little wind the coming days so we are spending every hour we can to sail!”
