Fresh dinner

This morning we started with repairing the fishing rot. The reel was broken because you couldn’t hear anymore when you caught a fish. New parts arrived and we could start the repairs and of course test it! Within five minutes we caught a Dorado. At that moment Mieke, our cook, just came up to get some something from the freezer for dinner tonight, but that wasn’t necessary because we yelled “we eat fish tonight”! Mieke liked the idea and returned to the galley again. But our cheerfulness was a bit prematurely, because when we wanted to haul it on deck the Dorado got away! There goes our dinner… We started fishing again right away but all morning we did not caught anything. Luckily Jan had more luck and just after the watch change he caught a Dorado. He hauled it in and Mieke turned it into a nice dinner!
