Guadeloupe

19 February 2016

During the great hike on Dominica we had a perfect guide, explaining many thing all day long! When someone had a question regarding a tree or a plant, he stopped the bus and let us feel, taste and smell. Banana, papaya, cocoa, cinnamon, avocado, lemongrass etcetera. Many great views, we took a dive in a pond, had a waterfall massage, and an awesome lunch. Everyone happy, all well.
Next we sailed to Les Saintes (The Saints), an archipelago south of Guadeloupe. Columbus gave it this name because he arrived here on a November 1rst, which is All Saints Day. We dropped anchor in a scenic bay and used our time to swim, snorkel and explore. Most didn’t venture farther than the beach, where they enjoyed the piña colada. Later we lit the bbq to prepare fish for dinner.
Right now (13:00 LT, 17:00 GMT) we have arrived at Point-à-Pitre on Guadeloupe’s main land. We will use the rest of the day to explore this town and island.
