And we sail on

“At 02:20hrs we already set the sails again. The exhausted sailor was welcomed on board by Maarten and shown to a cabin where he could shower and sleep. During the day we collect clothes for him. We try to make him feel at ease but it is difficult. Suddenly he has a whole group of people around him. The rest of the day there is a happy and almost cheerful atmosphere on board. Luckily everything ended well. There is a strong wind (5 Bft) and the waves are getting higher, we have to watch out that we don’t trip or fall but it is amazing. It is really lovely to be sailing like this. In the late afternoon a group op dolphins come by to give a show along the bow of the ship. Our cook Fennardie had planned an Italian meal, what coincidence, lasagna and tiramisu. A great day. We have one week to go to Martinique. Greetings from the ‘Oosterschelde’.”
