Rostock

10 August 2015

After Aalborg we sailed to Rostock only with crew on board so we have some time to prepare for the day trips we are going to sail there.
We arrive in the middle of the night and the next morning we start immediately. We are in a package of five ships at the quay, we have to communicate very well every day who’s going to sail and when. The weather is beautiful and certainly during the weekend is very busy on the quay side.
We sail tours of six or four hours, which gives enough time to sail to Warnemünde, go out and sail back again. Then we clean and then we go again.
The evening tour on Saturday is completely fully booked for all vessels, which makes it very crowded in the narrow canal. Everyone wants to be on time to see the fireworks.
The last trip on Sunday afternoon, was the icing on the cake! Lovely sailing weather, sun and wind and we set all the sails. The whole time we were under sail! Guests on board could hardly believe that the engine was not used! We continue sailing until we arrive just in fort on of the harbor.
Last night we welcomed our new guests on board and we are ready to leave for Bremerhaven. It promises to be a fine sailing trip with easterly wind.
