Preikestolen

Sunday afternoon; the crew has cleaned the whole ship and the new guest crew arrives on board in a sunny Stavanger. After the usual welcoming and safety briefing we have dinner and some of us grab a beer, but one by one everyone goes to bed, at 5:30 AM we leave.
It is early, the sunny weather is gone and it is quite misty. But luckily we have a good sail to our first destination: Tau, from which the bus takes us to the famous Norwegian Preikestolen. Due to the watery weather the view isn’t as beautiful as on the brochure, but still pretty. After lunch we sail westerly and to the north later into the Karmsundet. We anchor just south of the bridge across the water in the bay Bøvågen, near the village Avaldsnes.
