And on we go

And on we go

And on we go

Update of Sunday 8th of March 2015 by Jan:
“Yesterday at 14:45 hours we left Horta to continue our voyage. After being ashore for 48 hours, ship, crew and trainees were ready and eager to do the real thing: sailing. Especially the trainees did have the opportunity to explore the island. With three of my colleague trainees I went to the volcanic museum with the  lighthouse. There you could see the devastating results of the latest eruption in 1957/’58. We continued our sightseeing to the volcano. The crater is immense with its diameter of 2 km and depth of 400 meters. It’s funny to see that within this crater there’s a small volcano. During the time we were at Horta, Peter Café Sport was frequently visited. Till shortly before we left Horta, people bought T-shirts and other clothing in the shop of Peter Café Sport. I myself took the opportunity to refresh the painting on the key of the flag of the Oosterschelde. An honourable job to do. The moment I’m writing this, we are already more than 12 hours at sea. We all are back in the rhythm of our life at sea. Although we tried to sail, there is not enough wind. So the motor had to take over. We expect more wind during the morning. Hopefully we can set more sail and continue our voyage sailing.”
