25 February 2015

Update by Heike:
February 25th. Today we had a lecture about time and how the date-line works. The practical experience of how time works on this ship is much harder to explain. It seems unbelievable that we are only a little more than two days at sea. The good ship ‘Oosterschelde’ already feels like home. Every land-based problem that might (or might not) exist is so far away that it must be unreal. At sea you only have sea-problems which all have a nice and neat sea-solution. Jolly shipmates, good food, sleep and the wind and waves determine our days here in the big blue Atlantic.
All is well. And by the way, the photos are by Riemer Halbertsma.
