Goodbye

25 October 2014

We left Cabrera under sail. The wind was weak at first, but later that morning it increased up to 4 Bft and under full sail we sailed into the bay of Palma. At the end of the day we needed a little bit of help from the engine to sail to Andratx. We dropped anchor and took a walk in the very German-oriented town.
After breakfast we sailed to Isla Dragonera, dragon island. We anchored in a beautiful bay for a short stop for swimming and walking. The island, with a castle and a botanic garden, was nice to visit and the bay, where we could jump into the lukewarm seawater, was beautiful.
The difference with the Dutch autumn is big: during the day it gets about 30 degrees and the clear seawater is great for swimming.
At this point we arrived in Soller, the final destination of this journey. Tonight we will have a barbecue and tomorrow morning our guests will say goodbye to the ship.
