Bjørnafjorden

Bjørnafjorden

22 August 2014

In the afternoon we left Odda to slowly go down the Hardangerfjorden again. In the evening we went alongside on a quay in Øystese, about half way. We went to bed early after all the impressions of the day. The next morning we left early to proceed further down. The group wanted to take us out for dinner that night, so they went looking for a restaurant that could handle 23 persons. When they had found one, they came to tell the crew where we were going to be that night. This feels a bit weird because normally we tell the guests where we are going, but it’s nice for a change. It was going to be Osøyro, a village on the northern shores of the Bjørnafjorden, we had to be in the restaurant at 6 pm. So said and done. After a delicious meal with lots of fun we turned in early for the last bit to Bergen on the next day. There we had a nice last night with a beautiful dinner and lots of speeches before it was time to say goodbye the next morning.
By now we have a new group on board for the trip from Bergen to Bergen. This trip we will go north and visit several (little) villages or anchor in a fjord for some fishing, swimming and maybe the weather will be favourable for a BBQ.
We went into the huge Søgnefjorden and this morning we arrived at a spot called Flåm, at the end of the Aurlandsfjorden.
