Farsund

11 August 2014

As said, we had 30 hours after the first depression to get on our way. To use this time to the maximum we left Arendal at midnight. The wind was still against us, but it was mostly the swell that prevented us from making good speed. In the morning the wind turned, as expected, to south-east and later east. So, sails up!
Because we knew the wind was only going to get stronger, we went into Farsund. Here we found a nice spot in the village to shelter from the wind that was to come.
Today there’s a lot of wind outside, but we lay nice and sheltered, so there’s no trouble here. Most of our guests are exploring the area or went to a museum. We will stay here for the night and tomorrow we will continue our journey in the direction of Stavanger. Let’s hope the wind really slows down a bit.
