Drake Passage

Drake Passage

31 December 2013

Accompanied by Cape petrels, Black-browed albatrosses, Giant petrels, Wilson’s storm petrels and Wandering albatrosses, we left Patagonia. This morning we caught sight of Cape Horn for a while, but now we are in the Drake Passage. Great weather at the moment, a blue sky and a nice sun. Caps and gloves not needed. We have to use the engine, not much wind. The high swell shakes the ship. We are expecting a low just north of us tomorrow, which will bring a strong southerly. But, so far so good.
