Sydney

2 October 2013

The weather was not so favourable the last few days. The temperature is ok. In Hobart it was about 12-14 degrees, here it is about 19 degrees during the day and mostly dry. But the wind is the problem. We mostly have wind from the North and sometimes far too strong like yesterday or too little like now. We are expecting a new front and then there will be lots of wind again and we hope it will be a backing wind. In the morning we expect southwest 30 knots and rain. We are sailing close to shore to avoid the strong south going current. We are reaching inhabited land as we can see by all the lights on the shore. Very different from the south coast where we could sail for tens of miles before we could see any habitation. Tomorrow around 10 in the morning we are welcoming our pilot on board and we will enter the big natural harbour of Sydney. We are curious to see Sydney!
