Update by Arno:
“Departure from Fremantle: finally, after hours of waiting, because of ‘busy’ harbour proceedings (we saw 1 containership departing), we left at 1PM for our voyage to Adelaide. Again we were waved goodbye by many enthusiastic spectators. For the pictures we quickly set as much sail as possible.
On the ocean at 01:45AM I have to wake up as my watch is starting at 2AM. Champagne is being served… because we got something to celebrate: after Cape of Good Hope we are now rounding Cape Leeuwin! When I arrive on deck I see on port side the lighthouse of Cape Leeuwin and we celebrate this milestone of this circumnavigation.
Now, about 7 hours later, we have set all sails and the engine is off. The speed is 5-7 knots and our course is 130°. If it stays this way we can enjoy sailing with this wind.
