A good speed

28 May 2013

The first two days we have been making a good speed. We have sailed more than 155 miles in the past 24 hours. The wind is usually south to southwest, and we regularly speed up to 9 knots. The ‘Europa’ is only 13 miles behind, so we keep radio contact frequently. The ‘Tecla’ sails a bit more south of us, we speak to them twice a day. The sea life doesn’t give much away yet, but we have spotted the first White-capped albatrosses today. The third birthday on this voyage is again a nice day full of surprises. Life on the ocean is good!
